Making Sense of Faith

This group was started in response to people who were finding it difficult to make sense of their faith when their life was not working out how they expected. The group is Christian in nature and is a place where people can discuss questions, doubts and explore different answers.

We have about 4- 10 attendees each week; some just drop in for the odd week others come every week without fail. Some are believers and are members of local churches, some believe but find it difficult to fit in to a church and some are just looking for answers.

We have worked hard to create an environment where people are able to express what they really think and the freedom to ask any question. Our only rule is that we respect and accept each others views whatever they might be. The general pattern of the session is a group discussion usually based on the Bible, a coffee/fag break and then we offer prayer for those who’d like it.

We are a tight knit group who welcome newcomers; there have been tears in the group but also lots of laughter We meet every Tuesday afternoon 2.30 – 4.30 in the Life Skills room at James Street West.
